Russian regions are facing problems in recruiting new military personnel for the occupation forces, as reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
According to intelligence data, deficiencies in selecting contractors for the armed forces of Russia have been identified primarily in the poorest regions of the aggressor country, including the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
'According to internal documents of the Russian Ministry of Defense, low selection rates are due to insufficient regional payments and the reluctance of local authorities to support the recruitment campaign,' HUR reported.
The average shortfall at the recruitment points in the region is about 40% of the established norms of Moscow. According to intelligence estimates, one of the reasons for the failure is significant losses among the local population, particularly among certain ethnic groups - the Yakuts, Evenks, and Evenes, who are not eager to give their lives for the interests of Moscow.
'A similar trend is observed in other Far Eastern regions of Russia,' the intelligence noted.
Russian regions are facing issues with replenishing occupation forces due to low contractor selection rates, which are caused by significant losses among the local population and insufficient regional payments.
