Dispute Between Kateryna Repiakhova and Palace Ukraine Escalates
Kateryna Repiakhova, wife and concert manager of Ukrainian People’s Artist Viktor Pavlik, has announced legal proceedings against the National Palace of Arts "Ukraine." The conflict stems from a concert held on March 22, 2026, after which the venue allegedly failed to pay Pavlik’s family and provided no financial reports on the event. According to Repiakhova, the matter is now being handled through legal channels because the Palace has still not fulfilled its contractual obligations.
Backstage Incident During the Concert
During the performance, a backstage altercation occurred in which a producer allegedly directed profanity at Kateryna Repiakhova. Additionally, security staff reportedly prevented audience members from giving flowers to Viktor Pavlik and from dancing. In response, Repiakhova demanded a public apology from Palace Ukraine. She stated:
'The Palace still hasn’t paid us and hasn’t provided any reports on the concert. All we were told afterwards is that the show was "in the black," and that I’m not welcome at the Palace anymore. That’s why this has moved into the legal arena.'
On March 22, 2026, the National Palace of Arts "Ukraine" was the first to release an official statement condemning the unacceptable incident. Serhiy Perman, the director of Palace Ukraine, who organized and financed Viktor Pavlik’s anniversary show, labeled the Pavlik family "professional provocateurs." At the same time, the Palace issued an apology to Kateryna Repiakhova. She added:
'I will step back only when this reaches its logical conclusion—and when the Palace becomes an accessible venue for all artists.'
