The Russian Federation began attacking Ukraine's railway infrastructure almost every night since the beginning of summer, reported the head of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' Oleksandr Pertzovsky. On average, six to seven attacks are recorded each night.

These attacks are not aimed at military facilities but deliberately target civilian infrastructure to incite panic among passengers and damage the economy of the country

According to Pertzovsky, Russian long-range drones, specifically 'Shaheds', are used for attacks on railway infrastructure. There were not enough resources for this before, but the situation has changed in recent months.

Systematic attacks

A representative of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' emphasized that the Russians conduct attacks systematically, trying to paralyze railway transport hubs and stop passenger trains.

There was also a recorded shelling of the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region by Russian troops. Currently, over 30 hits have been recorded, causing building destruction and fires. Attacks are also spreading to transport infrastructure facilities.

Russia is intensifying strikes on Ukraine's railway infrastructure, conducting attacks almost every night, damaging civilian facilities and provoking chaos among passengers. Russian troops are also shelling the civilian population and transport infrastructure facilities, leading to destruction and fires. The situation in eastern Ukraine remains tense, requiring Ukrainian services to restore damaged facilities and implement effective measures to protect the population from further attacks.
