Russia attacked Druzhkivka with cluster munitions: 7 killed at the market

Внаслідок обстрілу ринку в Дружківці загинули 7 осіб.

Attack on Druzhkivka

Russian troops attacked the city of Druzhkivka in Donetsk region, using cluster munitions and aerial bombs. The shelling affected the market, where 7 people died as a result of the attack, and 15 were injured. The dead at the market ranged in age from 43 to 81 years, while the injured were aged between 50 and 72 years. This event provokes deep outrage, as the market is a place of mass gathering of people.

Moreover, Russian troops dropped two aerial bombs on Druzhkivka, leading to damage in the industrial zone, three apartment buildings, and three private houses. This attack is further confirmation of targeted actions against the civilian population.

Vadim Filashkin, a representative of the local authorities: 'The Russians shelled the city with cluster munitions - they targeted directly at the market, which always has a large gathering of people in the morning. This is yet another deliberate war crime and further proof that all Russian statements about 'ceasefire' mean nothing.'

All the injured are receiving the necessary medical assistance. All responsible services are working on-site. Vadim Filashkin also noted: 'We are meticulously documenting all the consequences of this crime. Everyone will be held accountable!'

Attack on Odessa

On the night of February 4, Russian troops attacked Odessa with drones, resulting in damage to civilian and industrial infrastructure in two districts. These events underscore the escalation of the conflict and its impact on the civilian population.

This attack in Druzhkivka is part of a broader trend of escalating violence in Ukraine, occurring against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The use of cluster munitions and aerial bombs, which harm the civilian population, provokes international outrage and raises the question of accountability for war crimes once again. Such actions typically attract the attention of international organizations and may lead to new sanctions against the aggressor.
