Russia attacked Odesa with drones: infrastructure damaged, casualties reported

Внаслідок безперервних атак дронів, Одеса зазнала значних руйнувань та втрат.

Attack on Odesa

On the night of January 12, the Russian army conducted an attack on Odesa using drones, resulting in damage to infrastructure. The attack caused a power outage in one of the city's districts. According to the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, two people were injured as a result of this incident.

In addition, one private house was destroyed, and four others were damaged. It is known that the Russian Federation attacked two ports in the Odesa region, resulting in one person dead and at least five injured. Port facilities, administrative buildings, and containers with oil were damaged.

Impact on Infrastructure

As a result of the attack on the Dnipropetrovsk oil extraction plant owned by 'Bunge Ukraine', 300 tons of oil spilled onto the city roads. It is worth noting that at the end of December, Russian troops had already struck several Ukrainian oil extraction plants. This situation highlights the continuation of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and its impact on civilian infrastructure.

These actions have serious consequences not only for physical infrastructure but also for the population suffering from the effects of continuous attacks.

Attacks on infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, particularly on ports and oil extraction plants, indicate a targeted strategy by Russia aimed at causing economic damage and destabilizing the situation in the country. In the context of the ongoing conflict, it is important to monitor the developments in the region and their impact on the economic and social aspects of life in Ukraine.
