On the night of September 27, the occupying army attacked the Odesa region with drones. As a result of the terrorist attack, the railway infrastructure was damaged. This was reported by 'Hromadske' citing 'Ukrzaliznytsia'.

It is noted that there were no casualties as a result of the attack. All passenger trains were stopped at a safe distance from the impact sites. According to 'Ukrzaliznytsia', train operations have already resumed, and specialists are currently working to reduce delays in the schedule.

Intensification of strikes on railway infrastructure

The Russian Federation has intensified strikes on the railway infrastructure of Ukraine since the middle of summer, attacking with an average of six to seven 'Shaheds' almost every night. The attacks, which have hit dozens of substations, are associated with a sharp increase in the number of long-range drones produced by the Russian military-industrial complex.

The attacks do not have a specific focus on military cargo. As noted by the head of 'Ukrzaliznytsia', the Russians act systematically, disabling one substation after another or key railway junctions to stop passenger trains. 'Their first goal is to sow panic among passengers, their second goal is to strike at the economy as a whole,' says the head of 'Ukrzaliznytsia', Oleksandr Pertsovskiy.

During the terrorist attack on the Odesa region, the occupying army used drones to attack the railway infrastructure. Despite the damage, it was possible to avoid casualties, and train operations have already resumed. The Russian Federation also continues to intensify attacks on the railway infrastructure of Ukraine, aiming to sow panic among the population and harm the country's economy.
