Strike Targets Zaporizhzhia Region
In the early hours of March 14, Russian forces launched an attack on the Zaporizhzhia region, injuring four civilians. The victims included two children. The injured are:
- A 35-year-old woman
- A 40-year-old man
- A 16-year-old girl
- An 11-year-old boy
The strike damaged a private home, igniting a fire that emergency services later extinguished. The Zaporizhzhia region has been a frequent target since the start of the full-scale invasion, given its strategic location and the presence of a major nuclear power plant.
Warnings and Escalating Violence
Prior to this assault, warnings were issued about the threat of guided aerial bombs and attack drones. An additional alert cautioned of potential ballistic missile strikes. This attack follows a similar strike on March 11, when Russian forces used guided bombs against Zaporizhzhia, wounding 13 people and hitting residential buildings.
This latest incident is part of the ongoing escalation of violence in Ukraine. The wounding of children underscores the severe humanitarian impact of the war, as civilians, including the most vulnerable, continue to bear the brunt of the conflict. With warnings of further attacks, the situation in the region remains tense, forcing local residents to stay in a constant state of alert for potential threats.
