Production Site of General Cherishnya Targeted

One of the manufacturing facilities operated by General Cherishnya, a Ukrainian company that produces attack drones for the country’s defense forces, came under Russian attack. Co-founder Yaroslav Gryshyn confirmed the incident, emphasizing that all employees emerged unharmed and in good health.

Participation in International Initiatives

General Cherishnya recently advanced to the second round of the U.S.-led Drone Dominance Program, run by the Pentagon’s Defense Innovation Unit. The company competed against hundreds of firms worldwide and was rated highest in terms of strike effectiveness. As part of its efforts, it unveiled a new kamikaze drone called Khmarynka, which carries a payload of up to seven kilograms and has a range of 50 kilometers.

“Unfortunately, I have to share some distressing news: one of our production sites was hit during the enemy’s latest attack. The key thing is that all our staff are safe and sound.”

Gryshyn added that the company remains ready to continue operations despite the strikes, working in a ‘turbo-reactive 24/7 mode’ to respond faster to aggression. “Everything will be restored—machines and equipment are nothing compared to people. We are working and ready to do even more,” he said.

This incident highlights the ongoing threats faced by Ukrainian defense and technology companies. Despite military assaults, enterprises like General Cherishnya show resilience and a strong commitment to recovery. Their inclusion in international programs such as the Drone Dominance Program underscores their recognized importance in global security and defense technology, which could strengthen support from international partners.

The ongoing conflict has prompted innovative responses in the defense sector, such as a recent agreement to manufacture Ukrainian drones abroad. This initiative aims to bolster production capabilities while ensuring safety for workers, similar to the resilience demonstrated by General Cherishnya.
