Russia blocks the repair of energy networks in Chernihiv region with drones: hundreds of thousands without power

Emergency repair crews in the Chernihiv region cannot start restoring electricity supply as Russian drones continue their relentless terror. According to the Ministry of Energy and Coal, Russian unmanned aerial vehicles are damaging already affected facilities, trying to hinder safe operations and prolong the humanitarian crisis.

Russian forces struck the energy system of the Chernihiv region, resulting in a complete shutdown of power supply in Chernihiv and the northern part of the region. New attacks by the Russian army complicate the repair process. This situation is a direct confirmation that the main goal of Russian aggression is the genocide of the Ukrainian people. Chernihiv is also facing water supply issues, but the water utility workers have already launched alternative power sources.
