Russian women are participating in combat operations in eastern Ukraine
Russian troops continue to reinforce their forces to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops, even involving women in combat. This time, a woman from Russia participated in attacks on Ukrainian positions near Pokrovsk. This is quite unexpected for the military, as they were previously used to encountering fighters who were drug addicts or former prisoners.
Ukrainian military personnel emphasize that it does not matter for them whether a man or a woman stands in their way - if they threaten the territorial integrity of the country, they are enemies who are subject to destruction. Recently, a prisoner exchange took place during which heavily wounded Ukrainian soldiers returned home.

One of the Russian prisoners of war, who was captured twice, shared his story. Vladimir from Chelyabinsk region was captured in August 2024 and then exchanged in February 2025. After his next captivity in April of the same year, he admitted that he came to the war with the aim of getting married and obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation.
Journalist and blogger Dmitry Karpenko addressed this issue seriously, communicating with captured Russians and sharing the most interesting details of their stories. The latest prisoner exchange took place on July 23, during which heavily wounded Ukrainian defenders returned home.
During military operations in eastern Ukraine, the participation of women from Russia in combat actions has been recorded.
