Russia's Non-Stop Assaults on Ukraine
Yurii Ihnat, spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has stated that Russian forces have shifted to conducting continuous, 24-hour attacks on Ukrainian territory. The primary objective of this campaign is to drain the resources of Ukraine's air defense systems and wear down the morale of its personnel. The occupiers are employing a mixed strategy, including the use of decoy drones that carry no warheads, to sustain strikes throughout the day and night.
Yurii Ihnat: 'The enemy knows that everyone needs rest, so they are directing round-the-clock attacks to exhaust people, equipment, and our supplies.'
This tactic is designed not only to deplete air defense capabilities but also to impose psychological pressure on Ukrainian troops. 'The enemy is trying to exhaust the personnel, operators, and soldiers who require downtime,' he added. According to the spokesperson, Russian forces also aim to destroy ammunition stockpiles, forcing Ukraine to spend scarce resources on low-priority targets.
