The first echelons of Russian military equipment have arrived in Belarus

According to information from the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko, the first echelons of Russian military equipment have arrived in Belarus to participate in the joint exercises 'West-2025'. Preparations are currently underway for the maneuvers scheduled from September 12 to 16.

'Units of our state's intelligence are actively monitoring how many of its forces and means Russia can transfer or plans to transfer to the territory of Belarus. This will determine the risk and threat that will exist for our country, especially during the active phase of these joint exercises,' – Demchenko noted.

According to the spokesman, the preparatory stage of the exercises is currently being conducted, and the first echelons are already on the territory of Belarus. This is a small number of Russian means and personnel that have been transferred.

Preparation and plans for maneuvers

During the active phase of the exercises, command-staff exercises, power logistics training, and communication training are planned, as well as the use of armored vehicles. Demchenko emphasized the importance of monitoring events, as while Belarus supports Russia, there is a threat to Ukraine's security.

'Therefore, we continue to enhance our defensive capabilities both directly along the border and in the border areas. The most threatening directions are being mined, and this applies to the entire length of the border with Belarus from Volyn to Chernihiv,' – the spokesman emphasized.

Ukraine continues to take measures to strengthen security along the northern border amid Russian-Belarusian exercises.

During the joint exercises 'West-2025', Russian equipment arrived in Belarus, posing a potential threat to Ukraine, thus defensive capabilities are being strengthened in the eastern part of the country to prevent possible threats.
