Russia continues provocations against NATO, using violations of allies' airspace to test their readiness and response. The Institute for the Study of War emphasizes that such actions aim to understand how the alliance reacts to hostile advances.

For example, in early September, two Russian fighters violated Estonia's airspace, and now the aircraft have flown over a Polish oil platform in the Baltic Sea. This is yet another episode in a rapid series of similar incidents.

The Polish Border Guard emphasizes that violations of the oil platform's safety zone are a serious matter. 'Poland's exclusive economic zone is our country's territory, and we will not allow violations of it,' they say in the service.

Experts believe that Russia is provoking conflict and testing NATO's readiness to respond to violations. Similar incidents may continue to occur, so alliance countries are preparing for potential assaults.

In this regard, the Polish and Romanian sides plan to strengthen control over the airspace, involving their Ukrainian partners in this effort. This step is intended to stabilize the situation and prevent similar incidents in the future.
