Russian troops continue their offensive in Pokrovsk
According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russian troops are continuing their offensive towards Pokrovsk. However, Ukrainian forces are successfully repelling attacks, including conducting air assault operations.
According to geolocation videos, the invaders have moved into 60% of the city’s territory and have attempted to capture the settlements of Rodynske and Myrnohrad, but Ukrainian troops are holding key positions in the center of Rodynske.
Representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reported that the situation at the front is complicated, but Ukrainian supply lines are currently not cut off.
The operation to liberate and push back Russian troops in Pokrovsk is ongoing. Defenders are gradually clearing the Bakhmut salient. Earlier, The Economist journalist Oliver Carroll reported that in the area adjacent to Pokrovsk, Ukrainian forces are conducting counteroffensive actions.
Air assault operations and counterattacks by Ukrainian forces help hold positions in Pokrovsk, although tensions at the front remain high. The main goal remains to drive Russian troops out of Ukrainian territory.
