Officials Visit Impact Zone
Ukraine’s Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, State Emergency Service Head Andriy Danyk, along with leadership from the Kyiv Regional State Administration and regional police, toured the area devastated by a hostile attack on the Kyiv region. More than 200 private homes were caught in the strike zone, with dozens damaged or destroyed.
As of 5:15 PM, the assault had claimed 22 lives—15 in Kyiv and 7 in the surrounding region. A total of 87 people were injured, including seven children, four rescue workers, and one police officer. In the Kyiv region alone, 29 injuries were confirmed, four of them rescue personnel. Additionally, around 50 residents were evacuated overnight using armored vehicles, and over 500 people were temporarily moved to safe locations.
Ihor Klymenko stated: 'We are helping people reach buses and evacuate to prepared shelters.'
Aftermath Response Underway
More than 1,000 rescuers and police officers are now working to manage the aftermath, providing aid to victims and clearing the affected areas.
