July 5 Attack on Zaporizhzhia

On July 5, Russia launched five strikes against the city of Zaporizhzhia, leaving three people injured, one of whom was a child. The attacks targeted a residential building and critical infrastructure sites. This information was shared by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

The assault caused the collapse of a wall in a multi-story apartment block, spanning from the first to the fifth floor. Windows in the affected building and neighboring entrances were shattered, and several parked cars nearby were also damaged. Initial reports indicated only one casualty, but authorities later confirmed three wounded individuals.

Rising Violence in the Region

This attack followed a series of warnings about the threat of guided aerial bombs (KABs) and attack drones. Just days earlier, on July 2, Russian forces had struck the Zaporizhzhia region over 900 times, and on July 3, a KAB hit a residential neighborhood, destroying a two-story house.

Notably, this latest assault has once again inflicted heavy damage on homes and infrastructure in the city. The continued hostile actions in Zaporizhzhia underscore the persistent danger to residents' safety.

This incident highlights an escalation of violence in the region, which could have serious consequences for the local population.

The growing intensity of these attacks demonstrates that the conflict continues to threaten the lives and security of Zaporizhzhia's residents. Protecting infrastructure and ensuring public safety have become increasingly urgent amid this rising aggression.

The recent strike in Zaporizhzhia is part of a troubling trend, as the number of casualties from these attacks continues to rise. In a related incident, the toll from a previous assault has reached 24, including five children. This alarming escalation highlights the urgent need for awareness of the ongoing dangers facing the civilian population.
