Massive Missile and Drone Strike on Ukraine

Ukraine came under a heavy missile and drone assault today, leaving at least 83 people injured, with fatalities reported. The attack unfolded in the morning, involving 90 missiles of various types, 36 of which were ballistic. Additionally, the enemy deployed 600 drones, though not all were intercepted.

Key Consequences of the Attack

Kyiv was the primary target, suffering the highest number of hits. The strikes damaged a water supply facility after three Russian missiles struck it, along with dozens of residential buildings and several schools.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated: 'The most hits were in Kyiv, and Kyiv was the main target of this Russian attack.'

Specifically, Zelensky confirmed: 'Three Russian missiles hit the water supply facility, burned a market, damaged dozens of residential buildings, and hit several ordinary schools.'

In addition, one strike targeted Bila Tserkva, where Russian forces used an 'oreshnik' missile. The Ukrainian president assured: 'Everyone wounded in this attack will receive assistance. It is our duty, and the state will fulfill it.'

This assault once again underscores the severity of the threat posed by the aggressor and the urgent need to support the victims.

The latest missile barrage highlights Russia's ongoing large-scale aggression, resulting in significant civilian casualties and infrastructure destruction. Ukrainian authorities, including the president, emphasize their commitment to aiding those affected, reflecting the state's responsibility to its citizens during wartime. These events also reinforce the international community's focus on the necessity of supporting Ukraine in its fight for independence and security.

The recent missile and drone strikes on Ukraine have occurred against the backdrop of ongoing hostilities, as highlighted by a previous attack that left five fatalities and dozens injured in Kyiv and Kharkiv. This pattern of aggression underscores the escalating threat faced by civilians and the urgent need for international support in these challenging times.
