Overnight Russian Strikes Claim Lives Across Ukraine
Another night of Russian attacks has left at least nine people dead and dozens more wounded in Ukraine. In the city of Zaporizhzhia, North Korean ballistic missiles, Zircon missiles, and guided air-dropped bombs were used in the assault; the local death toll there reached six, with 19 others injured. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, three people died, among them a 15-year-old boy, while a 7-year-old girl and two teenagers aged 16 and 17 were also hurt.
Civilians and Infrastructure Bear the Brunt
The capital, Kyiv, was also targeted: a ballistic missile damaged a children's hospital, but those inside—children and medical staff—had taken shelter and escaped without injury. A separate strike on a warehouse in the city wounded one person. Kherson, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Donetsk regions were hit as well, with attacks on electrical substations causing power outages in Kherson and Kharkiv.
Residential buildings, a logistics warehouse, and other civilian sites were damaged in the strikes. The scale of the assault highlights the severe toll on Ukraine's people and its infrastructure.
