Ukrainian Cities Targeted in Overnight Strikes
In the early hours of April 16, Russian forces launched ballistic missile attacks on the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa. Missile debris also struck the sixth floor of a 16-story residential building. In the Obolonskyi district, falling rocket fragments caused a major fire in a non-residential area.
“Ten city residents were injured. Medical personnel hospitalized six of the wounded. Others received assistance on-site or as outpatients,” reported Vitali Klitschko.
In Dnipro, the attack wounded 10 people, with seven requiring hospitalization. Injuries included traumatic brain injuries, shrapnel wounds, and blast trauma. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Ganzha, clarified that one person was killed in Dnipro, one woman is in serious condition, and the rest are in moderate condition.
“Residential buildings, garages, and cars are on fire in the city. An educational institution has been damaged,” Ganzha reported.
In Odesa, a ballistic missile attack is ongoing, with damage already reported in the Primorskyi district. Preliminary information indicates at least five people were injured. The situation remains tense, and details on the full consequences of the attacks are still being clarified.
