The Russian Ministry of Defense issued an explanation for the massive strike on Ukraine that seems cynical. According to their version, the strike targeted the enterprises of the Ukrainian defense industry involved in the production of various military technologies, including missile systems and unmanned aerial vehicles.
«A strike with high-precision long-range air and ground-based weapons, as well as striking drones, was carried out against the enterprises of the Ukrainian defense industry, which are developing operational-tactical complexes «Sapsan», producing multifunctional strike and reconnaissance drones, robotic combat vehicles, UAV interceptors, and loitering munitions», – the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
It was reported that Russian forces launched 619 strikes on Ukrainian territory, but only 36 of them were successfully carried out, while the rest were intercepted or suppressed. As a result of the shelling in Dnipro, a direct missile hit an apartment building, killing three people and injuring dozens. Kyiv region was also attacked, with three districts affected: Bucha, Boryspil, and Obukhiv.
