Currently, in the Kupiansk direction, the enemy is becoming increasingly active, complicating the situation for Ukrainian forces. According to an officer with the call sign 'Martin' from the 115th separate mechanized brigade, Russian troops are moving in small groups through forested areas, attempting to attack Ukrainian positions.
A Ukrainian serviceman noted that the enemy infantry is using tactics of approaching through thickets, where they gather before attacking the front-line Ukrainian positions.
The officer also spoke about new methods that Russian troops are employing during assaults. They are actively using large drones to deliver various packages and individual supplies. They are also implementing a new tactic of using anti-thermal cloaks, which are helpful in low temperatures.
'They put them on and go. The cloaks still heat up. The enemy stops at transit bases, small bunkers, and trenches to cool down. Then they go again with such short breaks,' the officer noted.
In connection with the aforementioned, the situation in the Kupiansk direction requires constant improvement of Ukrainian positions to repel enemy attacks. Even with the use of thermal imaging equipment, the occupiers are forced to make stops, which can create additional advantages for Ukrainian defenders.
Ukrainian military personnel note the increase in activity of Russian troops in the Kupiansk direction, the use of new tactics and equipment to strike. This requires reinforcement of military defense measures from Ukraine and constant readiness to act against the enemy. It is important to emphasize the necessity of improvement and development of Ukrainian defensive positions to deter attacks.
