Today, new methods of action by Russian occupiers have been recorded in the Kupiansk direction. Instead of the rapid attacks they used to carry out, they now choose slow movement at night. Officer Valeriy Kyselov of the 116th separate mechanized brigade explained this tactic: 'They don’t sleep, they work. What’s new is slow movement in 'thermal cloaks' to avoid being seen by thermal imaging. They crawl at night, concentrate, and try to attack.'
The goal of the Russian enemy remains the same – to destroy Ukrainian positions and reach the Oskil river opposite Kupiansk. But now it is more convenient for them to operate across open terrain, as they have adapted to Ukrainian drones and are trying to avoid detection.
It has been noted that the new tactic has led to an increase in casualties among enemy ranks during attacks. However, overall, even with improved methods, Russian invaders are unable to achieve success in the Kupiansk direction.
Summary
The Russian troops have altered their tactics in the Kupiansk direction, opting for slow movement during night attacks. This change indicates their adaptation to Ukrainian drones, yet the overall picture of failure remains unchanged. The enemies cannot achieve their goal in this direction despite attempts to improve their tactics.
