Russian Forces Strike DTEK Coal Mines in Dnipropetrovsk, Injuring Three Workers

Обстріл вуглевидобувних об'єктів DTEK у Дніпропетровській області, внаслідок якого постраждали троє працівників.

Russian Military Assaults Target Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk Regions

The Russian military launched attacks on DTEK Energy’s coal mining facilities in Dnipropetrovsk, resulting in injuries to three employees. According to the company, the strikes caused significant damage to the industrial infrastructure. The wounded workers have received medical treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.

In addition, Russian forces shelled the cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast, leaving six more civilians injured. On October 31 at 11:30 a.m., a FAB-250 aerial bomb was dropped on Sloviansk, hitting a residential area. A 72-year-old pensioner sustained shrapnel wounds and blast injuries and was hospitalized.

Drone Attack on Kramatorsk and Impact of Shelling

Later that same day, at 1:40 p.m., Russian troops struck Kramatorsk using an FPV drone equipped with an explosive warhead. Five residents suffered injuries as a result, including four men aged 41, 43, 53, and 72, along with a 43-year-old woman. Victims endured blast trauma, shrapnel wounds, and bruises.

The bombardment damaged 15 homes and one vehicle. The Sloviansk and Kramatorsk district prosecutor’s offices have launched criminal investigations into these incidents as war crimes under Article 438, Part 1, of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.

These attacks highlight the ongoing aggressive operations by Russian forces within Ukraine, causing further civilian casualties and extensive material damage. Targeting critical infrastructure like coal mining enterprises poses serious threats to the nation’s energy security, complicating efforts to maintain stability amid conflict.

The recent strikes in Dnipropetrovsk are part of a broader pattern of military aggression, as evidenced by another recent incident where Russian forces targeted Sloviansk and Yasnohirka. This attack resulted in injuries to nine civilians, further underscoring the escalating violence in the region.
