Waves of Overnight Strikes
From the night of October 20 into October 21, Russian drones targeted multiple parts of Ukraine, leaving significant damage and casualties. In Odesa, a drone smashed into a residential high-rise, harming apartments between the 10th and 17th floors. That single impact wounded 17 people, including three children.
Rescue crews from Ukraine's State Emergency Service are still clearing up after strikes in the Obukhiv and Boryspil districts. They are also battling a blaze at a pharmaceutical firm's warehouse that was set off by the attacks. Beyond Odesa, explosions and damage were reported in Nikopol, Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Khmelnytskyi, meaning residents in 13 regions across the country woke up to destruction.
