Russian volunteer from Yakutia in captivity: how he ended up in the war and what he revealed

The Russian Volunteer Corps has freed another participant who found himself in captivity. Yukaghir, Leon Trofimov, captured by indigenous peoples of Eastern Siberia, was held in captivity after pushing to the front lines. According to the 2021 census, the volunteer corps numbers 1802 people. From the confessions of the captive, quoted by 'Glavkom', it became known that he ended up in the war, among other things, due to a misunderstanding in the location legally via the internet.


The Russian Volunteer Corps has once again come into the spotlight – this time due to the incident involving Leon Trofimov, who found himself in the captivity of the indigenous peoples of Eastern Siberia. The young fighter, not yet reaching twenty years of age, faced harsh conditions on the front line, where he had to endure shortages of food and water. After a prolonged struggle for survival, Leon was spotted and taken captive by Russian troops. In his interview, he urged future volunteers to avoid the risks associated with participating in such conflicts, emphasizing the hardships he had to endure.



The story of Leon Trofimov serves as yet another reminder of the difficulties that participants in military conflicts may face. It highlights the importance of caution and thorough study of the conditions of volunteer programs before signing contracts to avoid the pitfalls of war life.
