Strike on Kryvyi Rih

On July 7, Russian forces launched an attack on Kryvyi Rih, damaging a sorting terminal operated by Nova Poshta. All employees had taken shelter at the time of the strike, resulting in no casualties among the staff. The drone hit a civilian infrastructure facility, sparking a large fire that is currently being addressed by emergency crews on the scene.

Nova Poshta's Response

Nova Poshta has confirmed that, despite the attack, it is maintaining uninterrupted logistics operations.

“Despite the assault, we are ensuring the continuity of our logistics processes and have everything under control. Over the years of full-scale war, we have built a system that allows us to respond quickly to such challenges. The company has already activated backup logistics routes, so parcel delivery is proceeding without major disruptions, and our network is operating normally,” the company’s press service stated.

The company is also taking responsibility for compensation.

“As always, Nova Poshta assumes full liability and will reimburse clients 100% of the declared value for any shipments damaged in the attacks. We will contact each owner of a damaged parcel directly to arrange payments. Customers can also file a compensation request through our national call center at 0-800-500-609, which operates 24/7,” the statement reads.

Real-time tracking updates for shipments are available via the Nova Poshta mobile app and official website.

This strike on a civilian infrastructure facility underscores the ongoing armed conflict and the threats it poses to businesses and the population of Ukraine. Nova Poshta's response highlights its ability to adapt to crises and support its customers under challenging circumstances. It is notable that, amid the war, companies continue to sustain critical logistics operations, which are vital for the country's economy.

The recent attack on Kryvyi Rih is part of a troubling trend, as evidenced by a similar incident where Russian forces targeted a Nova Poshta facility in Dnipro. This ongoing conflict poses significant risks to civilian infrastructure, prompting companies like Nova Poshta to adapt swiftly to ensure the safety and continuity of their services.
