The Government of Ukraine is introducing a new opportunity to get divorced through the Diia app. The service will be available from 2026 for married couples without joint minor children.
According to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, legislative changes that will allow online divorce have been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
'Divorce can be done quickly and online. The service will appear in Diia in 2026 and will be available for couples without minor children,' Svyrydenko wrote.
The new procedure will significantly simplify the process of divorce, which previously required couples to visit the Civil Registry Office and submit paper documents. Now, the entire process can be done online, without the need to visit institutions or stand in line.
