In a Single Week, SBU Drones Destroyed 500 Units of Russian Military Equipment

Протягом одного тижня дрони СБУ знищили 500 одиниць техніки ворога.

Special Forces Use FPV Drones to Target Enemy Logistics

Operators from the SBU's 'Alpha' Group—part of the Center for Special Operations 'A'—are increasingly relying on FPV drones to cripple the supply lines of Russian occupation forces. Over the past seven days alone, these strikes have taken out more than 500 enemy vehicles, highlighting the effectiveness of Ukraine’s ongoing operations. Logistics remains the adversary’s weak point, and Ukrainian special forces have turned it into a primary hunting ground, systematically dismantling supply chains and inflicting heavy losses.

Destroyed Vehicles Include Heavy Trucks and Fuel Tankers

Among the destroyed assets are heavy military trucks—such as MAZ, KamAZ, and Ural models—transporting ammunition and personnel, as well as fuel tankers. When a fuel truck is hit, it can instantly incinerate an entire logistics hub, further complicating resupply for occupying troops. Specialized engineering vehicles used for building fortifications were also eliminated.

Losing hundreds of vehicles each week has forced the occupation command to resort to foot rotations or civilian transport, revealing a critical strain on their forces. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed two decrees enacting new decisions from the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC). These documents align Ukraine’s restrictive measures with the EU’s 20th sanctions package from Brussels, ramping up international pressure on the aggressor and underscoring Ukraine’s active role in global sanctions policy.

These events underscore the pivotal role of logistics in modern warfare and how drone technology is reshaping combat. Destroying enemy transport severely hampers the occupiers’ ability to supply their units, potentially forcing shifts in their tactics and strategy. At the same time, Ukraine’s tightening of sanctions reflects a comprehensive approach to countering aggression—combining military force with economic tools to pressure Russia.

The recent successes of the SBU in targeting enemy supply lines highlight a broader trend in the use of drone technology within Ukraine. As seen in other regions, such as the ongoing logistics lockdown imposed by Ukrainian drones in occupied southern territories, the strategic impact of these aerial assets is reshaping the battlefield dynamics and further complicating the adversary's operational capabilities.
