Weather forecast for August 2024
The weather forecast for August 2024 and July 30 was published by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. According to the forecast, the average monthly temperature in August is expected to be between 21-25 degrees Celsius, and in the mountains - 17-19 degrees, which is two degrees above normal. In eastern Ukraine, as well as in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions and in Crimea, the temperature will be close to normal.
Precipitation in August is forecasted to be 34-60 mm, which will be 80-100% of the norm. However, in western Ukraine, a precipitation deficit is expected - 36-46 mm, and in the mountains - 50-70 mm (50-70% of the norm). This may affect the agricultural sector in regions where there is a lack of moisture.
Weather on July 30
On July 30, an anticyclone with a center over the Right Bank is observed across Ukraine, which means no precipitation is expected. The wind will be northwesterly, with a speed of 5-10 m/s, and in the east and northeast, it may strengthen to 15-20 m/s during the day. The temperature at night on July 30 will fluctuate between 10-15 degrees, in the south - up to 19 degrees, during the day the temperature will reach 23-28 degrees, and in Transcarpathia - 30-33 degrees.
Kyiv region will also experience warm weather: at night the temperature will be 10-15 degrees, during the day - 23-28 degrees. In Kyiv, at night the temperature will fluctuate between 13-15 degrees, and during the day it will reach 25-27 degrees.
