High-Level Summit Readiness

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has stated that Ukraine is prepared for a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey. This announcement was made during a public ADF-Talks discussion at the 5th Antalya Diplomatic Forum on Friday. Sybiha emphasized Turkey's crucial role in peace efforts, noting that a signal of readiness for such a summit was recently conveyed to Turkish partners. This diplomatic openness comes amidst a protracted war that has drawn significant international concern and military support for Ukraine.

Preparations for New Attacks and Conflict Intensification

Separately, Sybiha warned that Russia is preparing for new mass attacks. According to Ukrainian intelligence, such assaults could occur up to seven times a month. The minister explained that a mass attack in the Ukrainian context involves a minimum of 400 drones combined with at least 20 missiles. He added that Ukrainian air defense is performing effectively, intercepting up to 90% of aerial targets during Russian strikes.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Defense Ministry also reported that Russia is preparing for a new spring-summer offensive in southeastern Ukraine. The occupiers are mobilizing strategic reserves, with plans to increase the Russian military grouping in Ukraine by 20,000 troops. These factors point to rising tensions in the region. The simultaneous pursuit of diplomacy and preparation for intensified combat underscores the complex and volatile nature of the current situation.

The Ukrainian foreign minister's statement on summit readiness highlights the country's diplomatic efforts within the ongoing conflict. Meanwhile, the intelligence on Russia's attack preparations and troop reinforcements indicates a potential escalation, which may necessitate urgent international responses. These developments underscore the importance of the Turkish platform as a potential venue for negotiations and the critical need to monitor the region as tensions mount.
