According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukraine is moving closer to signing security agreements with several Persian Gulf nations, aiming to counter the threat posed by Iranian drone attacks. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha made this announcement in an interview with Reuters on the sidelines of the G7 foreign ministers' meeting in France. His statement coincided with a visit to the Gulf region by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

These negotiations are being conducted with countries including:

• Kuwait
• Jordan
• Oman

The most advanced talks, however, are currently underway with the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Sybiha noted that since the start of the war, Gulf Arab states have expended over 800 Patriot missile system interceptors, underscoring the serious nature of the aerial threats they also face. Foreign Minister Sybiha also mentioned meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the G7 gathering. Separately, Sybiha has received an invitation to visit China, a trip that could occur within the next two months.
