Ukrainian Defense Forces Strike Bridges in Crimea and Oil Refinery Near Moscow

Сили оборони України завдають ударів по стратегічним об'єктам в окупованому Криму та нафтопереробному заводі під Москвою.

Ukrainian Military Operations Escalate

Over the night of June 20, as well as on June 18–19, Ukraine’s Defense Forces launched strikes against Russian military assets in occupied territories and border regions of the Russian Federation. These actions aim to degrade Russia’s ability to sustain combat operations against Ukraine.

During the night of June 20, Ukrainian troops targeted a road bridge crossing the Henichesk Strait near the town of Henichesk in Kherson Oblast. The bridge had been used by Russian forces to supply logistics between occupied Crimea and army units on the southern front. Additionally, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a Russian Pantsir-S surface-to-air missile and gun system was hit near the settlement of Dolyinske. Ukrainian forces also struck Russian drone command posts in the areas of Soledar (Donetsk Oblast), Hrozove (Zaporizhzhia Oblast), and Terebreno (Belgorod Oblast, Russia).

Attacks on Military Infrastructure

Between June 18 and 19, Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out additional strikes on Russian occupation military assets. The following were hit:

  • railway bridges in occupied Crimea;
  • a concentration of military equipment near Sievierodonetsk;
  • a fuel and lubricants depot in Mariupol;
  • several enemy drone control points.

The General Staff confirmed that the Moscow Oil Refinery was struck, damaging a crude processing unit and fuel storage tanks. As a result, the refinery has suspended operations indefinitely.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to systematically reduce the Russian aggressor’s capacity to wage war against Ukraine.

These strikes are part of Ukraine’s strategic plan to weaken Russia’s military infrastructure and diminish its ability to conduct combat operations. Targeting key assets like bridges and fuel depots can significantly disrupt logistics and support for Russian troops at the front. Such actions demonstrate Ukraine’s readiness to carry out active military operations in defense of its territory and sovereignty.

In light of these recent operations, it's important to note the scale of Ukrainian strikes over the past few days, which have targeted various military assets across occupied territories.
