Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian Oil Depot and Military Targets in Occupied Territories

Українські військові завдають ударів по стратегічним об'єктам ворога на тимчасово окупованій території.

Ukrainian Defense Forces Launch Coordinated Strikes

On January 26, Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes targeting a Russian oil depot in the Voronezh region and multiple military installations within temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. The attack on the Khokholsky oil depot in Voronezh ignited petroleum products stored at the site. These strikes represent a continuation of Ukraine's campaign to degrade Russian logistics far beyond the front lines.

Additional strikes were confirmed against a concentration of Russian military personnel in the village of Kolotilovka, Belgorod region. Within the occupied territories, Ukrainian forces successfully hit:

  • enemy troop concentrations;
  • an enemy drone command post near Velyka Novosilka;
  • enemy troop concentrations in the Shakhtove and Hryhorivka districts of the Donetsk region.

Targeting Key Military Infrastructure

In the Luhansk region, near Nyzhnia Duvanka, an ammunition depot was destroyed. A concentration of Russian forces was also struck near Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia. In Dnipropetrovsk region, near Berezove, a Russian battalion command post was hit. In a separate operation overnight on January 26, Ukrainian units struck infrastructure at the 'Sloviansk Eco' oil refinery, which has an annual processing capacity exceeding 4 million tons of oil. This follows a previous Ukrainian attack on the 'Penzanefteproduct' oil depot in Penza region.

These coordinated strikes are part of a broader Ukrainian strategy to reduce Russia's military potential and disrupt the resources fueling its war effort. By targeting oil infrastructure and command nodes, Ukraine aims to increase pressure on occupying forces and demonstrate its capacity for sustained, long-range operations. The intensifying tempo of such attacks suggests a deliberate effort to shape the battlefield ahead of potential future operations to reclaim territory.
