Ukraine’s Defense Operations Escalate with Long-Range Strikes

On June 18-19, Ukrainian defense forces launched a series of coordinated attacks against Russian military assets spanning from occupied Crimea all the way to Moscow. These operations successfully hit railway bridges, storage depots, and drone command centers. Notably, a strike on the Moscow Oil Refinery caused significant damage, including a complex processing unit, three RVS-10000 tanks, and one RVS-30000 tank, forcing the facility to halt oil refining indefinitely.

Targets and Consequences of the Attacks

In Crimea, railway bridges near Rozdolne and Vladyslavivka—used by the enemy for military transport and supply to occupation forces—were struck. Additionally, a concentration of enemy weapons and equipment near Sievierodonetsk in the Luhansk region was hit. In Donetsk, a fuel and lubricant depot in Mariupol was destroyed.

Further strikes targeted drone control points in the Donetsk region near Pokrovsk, Voskresenka, and Siversk, as well as in Novoivanivka (Zaporizhzhia region) and Maliivka (Dnipropetrovsk region).

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated: 'Defense forces will continue systematic strikes until the full cessation of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.'

These attacks underscore Ukraine’s ongoing campaign to cripple infrastructure supporting Russian military operations. The shutdown of the Moscow Oil Refinery could severely disrupt fuel logistics for Russian forces, while the destruction of railway bridges in Crimea reflects a strategic effort to cut supply lines, complicating enemy troop movements.

The recent strikes by Ukrainian forces highlight a broader strategy aimed at crippling Russian military capabilities. In a related incident, Ukrainian troops successfully targeted an oil refinery and a naval vessel in Crimea, further emphasizing the significance of disrupting Russian supply chains.
