Ukraine’s Defense Forces Knock Out Power at Mariupol Port and Destroy Russian Vessel

Українські військові завдали удару по енергетичній інфраструктурі в Маріупольському порту та знищили російський корабель.

Joint Operation by Ukrainian Defense Forces Targets Mariupol Commercial Seaport

Ukraine’s Defense Forces have carried out a coordinated strike that crippled critical infrastructure at the Mariupol Commercial Seaport. Units involved included the 1st Corps of the National Guard ‘Azov’, the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Special Operations Center ‘A’, and the Unmanned Systems Forces. The following assets were hit:

  • electrical substations
  • radar equipment
  • repair facilities
  • the control tower
  • fuel and lubricant storage tanks
  • the sanctioned dry cargo vessel Lady Augusta

The Mariupol commercial seaport has been completely blacked out. Thanks to the seamless coordination among all involved units, the enemy has suffered yet another painful blow. ‘Azov’ continues to monitor logistical hubs and enforce sanctions against Russian forces in the Azov region.

‘The Mariupol commercial seaport is entirely without power, and Russian military logistics have been significantly disrupted,’ emphasized the 1st Corps of the National Guard ‘Azov’.

Strikes on Occupiers’ Military Assets

On the night of June 10, 2026, Ukrainian Defense Forces also launched attacks on several key military and logistical sites belonging to Russian occupation troops. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed damage to Russian ships and port infrastructure in Kronstadt. During the assault on Kronstadt, the corvette ‘Boykiy’ of Russia’s Baltic Fleet may have been hit.

This operation at the Mariupol port is part of a broader strategy aimed at dismantling the enemy’s logistical and military capabilities. Successful strikes on critical infrastructure in both Mariupol and Kronstadt demonstrate the ability of Ukrainian forces to inflict significant losses on the adversary, hampering its combat operations. Such actions could influence the overall course of the conflict, underscoring the importance of controlling strategic assets.

In a related context, the recent strikes on military assets highlight a strategic pattern of Ukrainian forces targeting Russian capabilities across various regions. Notably, the attack on Mariupol follows a significant operation against the Russian Baltic Fleet's main base in Kronstadt, where key naval assets were reportedly damaged.
