Ukrainian Special Operations in February 2026
In February 2026, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO) conducted strikes against enemy targets in temporarily occupied territories. SSO units used FP-2 drones to attack the enemy's rear and operational infrastructure. One key target was a storage site for the Iskander operational-tactical missile system, located in the village of Pasichne in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Powerful explosions were recorded at the impact site.
Furthermore, a remote piloting station for the Rubicon unit was destroyed in the village of Vysoke in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Several drones successfully reached their target, indicating the high effectiveness of these operations. Between February 9 and 14, SSO units struck over 10 enemy military objects in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the successful neutralization of a series of strategic enemy assets.
Successful Strikes on Enemy Targets
On February 15-16, 2026, Ukrainian defenders also carried out precision strikes on enemy drone control points, communication nodes, and areas where personnel were concentrated. Among the targets hit were:
- Areas of personnel concentration
- Ammunition and fuel-lubricant storage depots
- Military vehicle parking sites
- Other military objects
“Special Operations Forces destroyed an Iskander storage site in Crimea, a Rubicon unit piloting station, and enemy objects in the occupied territories.”
COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF
These operations signal an intensification of Ukrainian special forces activity in occupied territories, which could impact the overall military situation in the region. The successful destruction of strategic enemy assets, such as the Iskander missile system depot, may degrade the enemy's combat capability and boost the morale of Ukrainian troops. These actions underscore the critical role of modern technology, particularly unmanned aerial vehicles, in contemporary warfare. The Iskander system is a significant Russian missile platform, and strikes on its logistics are a high-priority objective for Ukrainian forces.
