Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi Visits Southern Operational Zone

Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi recently toured military units in the southern operational area, where he assessed the battlefield situation with local commanders and authorized additional technical equipment and ammunition for frontline brigades. During the visit, he worked alongside Major General Oleh Apostol, commander of the Air Assault Forces group, as well as leaders of air assault and assault units. Syrskyi stressed the critical need to protect the lives of Ukrainian soldiers while carrying out combat missions.

Drone Warfare Expansion and Combat Update

Syrskyi also discussed the advancement of unmanned systems with Major Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces group.

“We continue to build our capabilities to strike the enemy, including at operational depth,” Syrskyi stated.

According to him, the Russian force on the Oleksandrivsk axis exceeds 71,000 troops, while a roughly equal number of enemy personnel are concentrated on the Huliaipole and Orikhiv axes. The situation remains fluid, with both Russian forces and Ukraine's Defense Forces engaged in active combat operations.

Over the past 24 hours, 269 combat clashes were recorded, during which the enemy launched one missile strike. Additionally, 96 airstrikes were carried out, dropping 295 guided aerial bombs. The enemy also deployed 10,064 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,135 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian Armed Forces positions, including 20 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Syrskyi's visit to the southern operational zone underscores the Ukrainian command's active efforts to improve conditions for military units and its determination to enhance the Defense Forces' capabilities. Given the intensity of hostilities and the high volume of enemy attacks, the additional supply of technical equipment and ammunition is a crucial step in supporting Ukrainian troops as they execute their missions. The front-line situation remains extremely challenging, demanding swift and effective decisions from the military leadership.
