Divorce Proceedings for Olena and Taras Topolia

A Kyiv court has initiated divorce proceedings for the Ukrainian musical duo Olena and Taras Topolia, whose marriage lasted nearly 13 years. The case was registered at the Podilskyi District Court of Kyiv on December 3, 2025, with the initial petition filed by Taras Topolia on December 15 of the same year. The couple, known for their work in the popular Ukrainian band Antytila, are prominent figures in the country's music scene.

Neither Taras nor Olena Topolia attended the court hearing scheduled for December 15, 2025. While a judge has been assigned to the case, the date for the next session remains undetermined.

Family Circumstances and Legal Findings

The court's documentation states that the couple's marital relationship deteriorated over the past year, leading to a de facto end of their union. The judicial analysis of their family situation cited the following factors:

  • The spouses hold divergent views on life and family matters,
  • They maintain separate finances,
  • The parties do not share a household,
  • They lack common interests and mutual understanding.

The court concluded that continuing their marital life and preserving the marriage is impossible and contrary to the interests of both individuals.

The couple has three children: sons Marko and Roman, and a daughter, Mariia. The case has drawn public attention as the Topolias are well-known personalities in Ukrainian entertainment. Their divorce, resulting from prolonged relational difficulties, highlights the complex personal and financial dimensions of family life. Given their fame, the news has attracted significant media and fan interest, with future child custody arrangements and co-parenting dynamics being key points of public concern.
