'According to the National Weather Service, about 60% of the U.S. population is facing snowstorm warnings,' the report states.
Due to the storm, many flights have been canceled. On December 25, about 1700 domestic and international flights were canceled. More than a million residents of the USA are without power because of the bad weather.
Earlier reports indicated that during the storm, which has been raging in the United States for several days, at least 23 people have died. Fatalities have been recorded in Wisconsin, Kansas, Kentucky, Colorado, Missouri, Michigan, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
