Deadly Cane Corso Attack in Boryspil
A 79-year-old woman died in the hospital after being viciously mauled by two Cane Corso dogs on June 19 at approximately 3:40 PM. The Boryspil City District Court in the Kyiv region has now imposed a restrictive measure on the dogs' owner. The animals escaped from a private yard through a loosely closed gate and ran onto a neighboring property, where they attacked the victim, inflicting multiple severe bite wounds to her head and body.
The owner was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and has been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code (negligent homicide). The court ordered 60 days of house arrest, restricting her from leaving home between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM without the investigator's permission. This case highlights the legal consequences that can follow when pet owners fail to secure dangerous animals.
