Today, Ukraine celebrates World Children's Day for the first time together with the whole world. This day, usually filled with joy, dreams, and warmth, loses its festive attire due to tragic events. On November 19, the Russian missile strike claimed the lives of three little Ukrainians. This is a terrifying reality that reminds us of the bloody war.
Since 2022, when the war in Ukraine began, the country has lost 668 children and more than 2000 have been injured. These are not just numbers, but the destruction of families, names that will forever remain in the memory of parents, and the small hands that will never be held.
Fighting for the future of children
“Every day we fight for children's right to live a happy childhood, free from war and fears. We fight for a future that belongs to them. Our duty is to stand up for children and defend their rights and safety.”
Our goal is to ensure a safe future for Ukrainian children, where they have the right to joy, peace, and dreams. Despite the pain, fatigue, and tears, we continue to believe that the future of children should be brighter and better. We protect their rights and well-being because the future of our country depends on them.
While children dream and hope for a better future, we must continue the fight for them, maintain strength and faith in a bright future. Our children deserve the best, and we must do everything possible to ensure it for them.
Ukraine, together with the world, celebrates World Children's Day, yet the shadow of war reminds us of the significant losses and the need to protect the future of every child undoubtedly and resolutely.
Tragic events underline the importance of protecting children from the consequences of war. In Ukraine, together with the whole world, the fight continues to ensure a safe future for the little ones, where their rights and well-being are prioritized.
