Ukrainian singer ONUKA stated in an interview on the YouTube channel «Slava Dyomin» that her main income now comes not from concert activity, but from copyright on music. She also revealed how much she spends on her family's living and why she does not chase after expensive things.
ONUKA named the main source of income
The singer shared that she currently earns the most from the use of her music in films, advertisements, and thanks to copyright.
According to ONUKA, this has become the main source of income, exceeding earnings from tours.
The artist also noted that she and her husband Yevhen Filatov perform a significant part of their musical work themselves:
-
create arrangements;
-
record music;
-
write lyrics;
-
engage in video production.
Thanks to this, the couple minimizes their expenses on music production.
The singer spends about 100 thousand hryvnias per month
ONUKA admitted that the family's basic expenses now amount to approximately 100 thousand hryvnias per month.
According to her, a significant part of the budget includes:
-
kindergartens;
-
medicine;
-
daily expenses;
-
fuel;
-
household needs.
The artist also said that after having children, she began to think more about financial discipline, while before she hardly engaged in savings or investments.
ONUKA spoke about her attitude towards money and cars
The singer admitted that she does not chase after expensive status items and calmly relates to a simpler way of life.
She mentioned that her family uses a Toyota C-HR car, as well as an older 2011 Volkswagen, which the artist called her «second skin».
ONUKA stressed that she is not worried about the lack of luxury items or expensive accessories, considering comfort and inner peace to be the most important.
According to the singer, their family has a joint budget without separate allocation of money between her and her husband.
ONUKA and Yevhen Filatov remain one of the most famous creative couples in the Ukrainian music scene. After the start of the full-scale war, the artists continued to work on music projects and charitable initiatives.
For many Ukrainians, the singer's words have become an example of how even famous artists today are more focused on moderation, stability, and financial responsibility, rather than a luxurious lifestyle.
Earlier, Ukrainian pianist and composer Yevhen Khmara spoke about his income, expenses, and the real economics of concert activity.
