Last weekend marked the beginning of the matches for the new season of the Men's Super League of Ukraine 2025/2026. This was reported by the FVU through 'Glavcom'.
This year there was an important change: while last season games were held in seven different cities, this time they will take place at only one location - in the city of Gorodok in the Khmelnytskyi region, where the club participating in the Challenge Cup 'EpiCenter-Podolany' is based.
Changes in Composition and Results of the First Round
The main triumph was the club 'EpiCenter-Podolany U-20', which won all three matches.
Compared to the previous season, the number of participants has decreased from ten to eight teams. Some of last year’s players remained, along with new participants. The first round featured the first half of the teams, while the second half will play their matches this week.
Closest pursuers include the team 'Reshetylivka', which showed strong resistance against the youth national team. The only team to lose all games was 'Burevisnyk'. It is worth noting that Oleg Plotnytskyi, the former captain of the Ukrainian national team, refused to greet Russian volleyball players after the game in Japan.
During the first round of the new season of the Men's Super League of Ukraine, there were interesting matches, and the club 'EpiCenter-Podolany U-20' proved to be the strongest team. The clubs are preparing for several months of competitions at a single location in the city of Gorodok, where volleyball fans from various corners of Ukraine are gathering. Ahead, the continuation of the competitions is expected, along with the search for new favorites among the teams.
