Changes in Scholarships for Students in Ukraine Starting from September 2026
Starting from September 2026, scholarships for university and college students in Ukraine are set to double. The State Budget-2026 project allocates UAH 6.6 billion for academic and named scholarships, which is UAH 1.2 billion more than in 2025.
What Will Change?
For universities and colleges, all types of scholarships will increase:
- The President's Scholarship for universities will increase from UAH 10,000 to UAH 20,000.
- The Scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will rise from UAH 4,400 to UAH 8,800.
- The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Scholarship will increase from UAH 4,000 to UAH 8,000.
- The minimum academic scholarship will be UAH 4,000, which is double the current UAH 2,000.
- The enhanced academic scholarship will grow from UAH 2,910 to UAH 5,820.
- The industry-based scholarship will amount to UAH 5,100, while the enhanced one will be UAH 7,420.
For colleges, the President's Scholarship will increase from UAH 7,600 to UAH 15,200, and the Scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will rise from UAH 3,320 to UAH 6,640. The minimum academic scholarship for colleges will grow from UAH 1,510 to UAH 3,020, and the enhanced one will increase from UAH 2,197 to UAH 4,394. The industry-based scholarship will be UAH 3,860, while the enhanced one will amount to UAH 5,618.
These changes aim to support students and facilitate their education amid contemporary challenges.
