Maria Sukhopalova won silver at the European Mountain Bike Championship

Maria Sukhopalova became the vice-champion of Europe in mountain biking in the eliminator discipline. The Ukrainian cyclist excelled at the competitions in Gibraltar, where she took second place.

In the first semifinal, Sukhopalova reached the final, where she competed for medals and ultimately finished second, losing only to the representative of Italy. Thus, the Ukrainian won the silver medal at the European Championship. It is worth noting that Sukhopalova is also the reigning world champion in this discipline.

In addition to this success, Ukraine performed well at the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing 10th in the overall medal standings. Our athletes won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, with the judo team standing out the most, winning six medals.
