Russia attacked the Sumy region: thousands of people left without electricity

Over the last day, massive attacks by Russian troops occurred in the Sumy region. The population of the Sumy district suffered the most, where enemy aviation used bombs and drones. Parts of the Bilopillia and Vorohtsiv communities were left without electricity. Repairs will begin as soon as the situation is safe.

In its report, Sumyoblenergo noted that such interruptions in electricity supply in the area are related to strikes by the Russian army on critical infrastructure. Strikes were also recorded in the Sumy and Romny communities. On August 24, enemy drones made hits, causing fires but no casualties. Interference from mobile fire groups was recorded. Meanwhile, civilian infrastructure faced a new attack, but unlike previous instances, there were no casualties.
