Sweden, in partnership with the Ministry of Communities and Territorial Development of Ukraine, transferred 5 vehicles with special equipment to enhance the capacity of communities to provide mobile administrative and social services.
According to the Ministry of Development, the vehicles were received by Sumy City, Myrhgorod City (Poltava region), Oleksandriia City (Kirovohrad region), Korop Settlement (Chernihiv region), and Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Assistance to communities in frontline areas
The vehicles and equipment will be used for mobile servicing of internally displaced persons and veterans and for providing public and social services in frontline as well as the most remote and sparsely populated areas of the communities.
'This assistance is extremely important for people living in those settlements that suffer the most from the challenges of war. We must ensure the provision of basic public services for those who live far from administrative centers. I express my sincere gratitude to the people of Sweden for their unwavering support for Ukraine. We feel it at all levels: from strategic partnership to specific projects that change people's lives in communities.', - emphasized Deputy Minister Oleksii Liubynets.
Project competition for mobile servicing for communities
As part of the mobile servicing project competition for communities organized by the Polaris Program, 166 applications were received from communities in 12 regions from August 15 to September 3, 2025. The competition took place in three stages, based on the results of which a list of 16 potential recipients was formed: 9 in the first priority group and 7 in the second, in order of priority according to the available resources of the Program.
Deputy Minister Oleksii Liubynets also held a meeting with Sida's General Director Jakob Granit regarding further cooperation. The project is implemented under the collaboration between the Ministry of Communities and Territorial Development of Ukraine and the Polaris Program 'Supporting Multi-Level Governance', funded by the Government of Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and implemented by SALAR International from 2024 to 2028.
