In June 2023, Olga Lushchik started working at the migration service and immediately felt that this was her place. She does not just perform her job, but lives it, wanting to be useful for people and the state. For her, assistance with documentation issues is more than just paperwork; it is a matter of trust and human life.

One of the most important stories that Olga remembers was when an elderly woman came to her for help, having lost her documents during evacuation and left alone. Olga helped her not only with paperwork but also simply listened and supported her, which helped restore faith in the future.

The importance of helping IDPs

There are especially many such stories in Dubrovytsia, where more than 600 internally displaced persons from occupied territories reside. For them and for everyone who appeals to the migration service, it is essential to know that the doors will always be open.

“When you are waiting for news from the front line, work becomes a support. It distracts from anxiety and gives strength not to fall into despair. I know that my contribution is also important - every document, every smile from a citizen is a small step towards our common victory.”

Olga cares about the fate of every person and believes that she has already found her place in this world by helping those in need. For her, what really matters is not the first place, but her own. This allows her to feel peace and faith in the future.

Olga Lushchik has found her calling in helping IDPs and people who find themselves in difficult situations. Her personal experience shows that even small actions can have significant meaning for others in search of help and support.
