Death of the Holodomor researcher
The news of the death of Holodomor researcher Anatoliy Penyok became known thanks to a message from the head of the VO 'Svoboda' party and former member of parliament Oleg Tyahnybok. A military officer, quoted by 'Glavkom', reported this in his post.
It is worth noting that Penyok dedicated himself to the 'Svoboda' community back in the early 2000s, actively working on national memory, youth education, and preserving historical truth. His research was aimed at fighting for the restoration of historical justice, which led to the establishment of a memorial plaque on the building of the former Child House in Zaporizhzhia.
In 2006, after reading a small newspaper note about 35 children who died in the Zaporizhzhia Child House in May 1933, Anatoliy could not remain indifferent...
For his work, Penyok was awarded the Order of Merit for Zaporizhzhia Region of the III degree, and his efforts formed the basis of the documentary film 'The Child House. The Last Lullaby'.
Anatoliy's friend describes him as a person of great character - quiet, modest, but stubborn and consistent. He left behind not only memories and deeds but also an example of how to serve the Motherland - not with words, but with actions, added Tyahnybok.
Loss in the East
The death of one of the most powerful commanders on the eastern front, Oleg Kutsyn, founder and leader of the 'Legion of Freedom' and the 'Carpathian Sich' battalion, was also noted.
The deceased Holodomor researcher, Anatoliy Penyok, made a significant contribution to the establishment of a memorial plaque on the building of the former Child House in Zaporizhzhia and became an example of consistency and dedication in serving the Motherland.
