The director of the surgical instruments factory has been mobilized: who will save the wounded now

Після призову директору заводу з виготовлення хірургічних інструментів доводиться залишити свою роботу, що ставить під загрозу постачання медичних засобів для лікування поранених.

The Ternopil Territorial Center for Recruitment (TCR) has mobilized Pavlo Akiyev - the head of the only company in Ukraine specializing in the production of surgical instruments used in military hospitals and civilian medical institutions.

This was reported by the Telegram channel 'Raport Serzhanta', citing unofficial sources.

The significance of the company's production for the medical field

Pavlo Akiyev heads an enterprise that produces vital equipment for medical professionals. Among the range of products:

  • linear and disc dermatome instruments - for burn doctors treating patients with burns;

  • oscillating saws - for amputations that require quick and precise action;

  • cannulated drills - for orthopedists who install Ilizarov devices, drilling bones and joints;

  • perforators - for perforating the skin during the treatment of severe burns.

The company's products are utilized in leading medical institutions, including military hospitals and the 'Okhmatdyt' hospital.

Mobilization and vision problems

Despite his vision problems, Pavlo Akiyev passed the military medical commission and received an offer to participate in military actions. This caused outrage among colleagues and employees, who emphasized the importance of the company's work, without which doctors cannot operate effectively.

'And here is such a specialist, who is actually working for medicine (and I have known Pavlo for over 15 years), who works almost around the clock - being detained by those who are supposed to defend the country, not stop those who save our fighters. And they keep him forcibly. A team has already been chosen where they will send him... And the military medical commission has been passed in a few minutes. I ask Pasha: - 'But you have vision problems!' (he wears glasses). - 'Doesn't matter, I am fit...', - he replies. He has repeatedly asked to go to the front, but I understood that his work is too important. Because without his instruments, doctors simply cannot work.'

In light of the situation, the question arises: who will service and repair the high-precision equipment that regularly requires technical support? Training specialists of this level takes many years of education and experience.

The Ternopil recruitment center has mobilized the head of an important medical company, which may lead to problems with servicing high-precision equipment in medical institutions.
